My Prayer

I ask God to love me
Show me who I am.
Take me to a better place than where I really am.
My desire is to know You and make You proud of me.
He helps me to see how to deal with my situations.
What do I do?
I cry heavenly Father I need you.
You hear me; I know you do.
You tell me the struggle is over
I know your word is true.
I love you God
I know there is no me with out you.
I thank you in advance for what you are going to do…

Prayer and Praying

The Lord’s Prayer
Our father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come
thy will be done
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day
our daily bread
and forgive us our debt
as we forgive our debtors.
Lead us not into temptation
and deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom
the power
and the glory forever and ever.
Amen

I remember the days when my grandmother would have me kneel next to the bed at bedtime and say the Lord’s Prayer. It was weird then but as I think back it gave me a sense of peace. Give God amount of my time and praying for our family and friends. As you get older sometimes you don’t think to give God time allowing yourself to kneel before Him and pray. I know God has been telling me to get back to the basics. Take the time to kneel down before him and pray.
* Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Philippians 4:6)

Sometimes I allow my prayers to focus on me and a little on others and I want to take the focus off me and my issues because God already knows my need before I speak it. The same is for you God knows what your need is before you ask.

* For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord against those who do evil. (1 Peter 3:12)

* Therefore I tell you whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you for your sins. (Mark 11:24)

Allow yourself to be open and hear from God. He gives us daily guidance and instruction through the Holy Spirit.

Trust God

Trust God!

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV Bible
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

John 14:1 NIV Bible
Jesus says, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God. Trust also in me.

Insight: Can I trust that God hears me and ready to work on my behalf? As a child of God, He is always available to you. No one understands. I have no one to talk to. That’s true no man is always available but God is available you. You can go to the Father and talk to Him anytime, wherever you are and he will hear you. Our request is not fulfilled in our time but in God’s timing and according to God’s will. Have you ever prayed for something and didn’t receive it and realized you were happy or relieved that specific request didn’t come to pass. God has great and mighty things in store for you. He doesn’t want to give you something that is not a good fit for you. You can’t look at others and want what they have. You don’t know how they got it or if they are meant to keep it. For instance you want a new car because your friend got a new car at a great price. So without God’s guidance you go out find a car and buy it maybe even had to pay a little money down. And you think, God made a way and I have a new car too. Now you have to pay the car note 60 days later. Reality sets in, “Man I have to pay this much every month” and it is not as easy of a transition as you thought. You realized you should have waited for a new car. You were caught in the “Living like the Jones’ Syndrome.” You saw what someone else had but that isn’t what God had for you. When our Father God releases something to us it will be blessed and he will provide all the needs to take care of it. Trust God in every situation don’t try to pick and choose where you want God to fit in. Believe me it doesn’t work. God will give you the answers you need if you ask Him and wait for Him to respond. Patience is a necessity because you can’t rush God.

Prayer:
Father God,

I come to you ask that you help this beautiful woman to come to know and truly trust you. You will not fail her. You have her best interest at heart. Thank You God that you have plans to prosper her, plans that give her a future and a hope. Thank You Father that when she comes to you, you are always there to listen. You are the Alpha and Omega. Her finances are covered because she depends on you on how and where she is to use it. She doesn’t look for her answers from friends or family she comes to you in prayer and patiently waits on your response. Thank You for being a source of wisdom, knowledge, and most importantly love in her life.

In Jesus Name,
Amen.

God created You!!

God Created You!

Psalm 139: 13-18 NIV Bible
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand—when I awake I am still with you.

Insight:

How wonderful is it that God created you before your physical parents even knew you. Our Father, God took time to mold and shape you into who you were meant to be. He made you to be fearfully and wonderfully made to walk through this life with boldness knowing he is your Father. He gave you your freckles, your curly hair, your eyes, and most importantly he gave you a unique spirit and a special gift for your life. My gift is to minister in song and to comfort/counsel others. I was not created to draw or be a mathematician. What is your God given gift? Who has God created you to be? If you don’t know go to God and simply ask Him. He will surely give you the answer. God knows your life story from the beginning to the end. For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and future. Jeremiah 29:11 Yes we all have made a wrong decision at some point in our life but it is important to not continue to go down the wrong path. We are to recognize our wrong, confess it to God, ask for forgiveness, and allow God to get us back on the right path. Are you on the course that God has set out for you?

Prayer:

Father God,
I thank you for making me especially for your glory. I thank you that the plans you have for my life will be fulfilled. I thank you that I walk through my day with boldness. I am confident in knowing you are my father and I am your child. You love me enough to forgive me of my sins and lead me in the right direction. I open my heart to you Lord and I ask that you come in and give me a makeover. My thoughts are your thoughts, my actions portray your actions, and my spirit is lead by the Holy Spirit. I am renewed. I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

In Jesus Name,

Amen.

My Personal Story- Motivated to Change

My Story

I come from a single parent household. My father was an absent father. I had a history of depression where on some days I wanted to go to sleep and not wake up. I became an unwed mother. These are some of the issues my background held. I can share my story because I am not a prisoner any longer to what happened in my past. God has forgiven me for my actions and I have no control over the actions of others and why they chose to treat me in the way they did. I no longer have to hold everything in. I no longer have to live with such anger, hatred and rage toward others. I have been on a path to change since April 3, 2002 when I had my daughter. God and my baby saved my life. I discovered unconditional love. I was headed down a dark path but God turned me around. I was changing at a steady pace for years. In December 2006 I went through a life changing experience. The death of 3 important people in my life included in this count was my granny. The most loving and giving woman I knew. She meant the world to me. All three of these individuals were on medication, being treated by a doctor for illness, and/or considered obese. I slipped into a depressed numb state during this time. However as I began to return to my daily life I realized I didn’t want to live my life the way I had been living. In a relationship that was a roller coaster that always ended with the same result. Always working and on the go to busy for my kids. I was a church part-time member instead of an active full-time member. Enough was enough. I began to get my life in line with God’s help. I ended my 5 year roller coaster ride(relationship). I made more time for my kids. I joined a ministry at church that I was called to do. I began to think more about my health because I want to be around for years and years to come. I became accountable to God. As I became accountable to God, He showed me who I was in his eyes. I now hold my head high living a life focused on putting God first and him being my source and guide in all things. I have my good days and not so good days like everyone else. However I do my best to not be overwhelmed and take it one day at a time because today is what I have if tomorrow never comes.

I am medication free and I have no health issues but I know plenty of people who do. My heart's desire is to get you to live a healthy life and that does not mean being a size 6. It means being concious of what you do, say, think, and eat because how you repond to your health today can give you hope for tomorrow.

My Prayer:

Father God,

I come to you in your son Jesus’ Name. Please bless this woman and make her whole. Keep your shield of protection around her. I ask that you heal her heart of any negativity that has been spoken or done to her. She is special. She does matter. She will make it. The devil is defeated and has no authority over her and her life. Lord fill her up with joy throughout her day. Give her peace as she lays down to rest. You have prepared this day for her and she is prepared for this day. Give her the strength to press on even when she wants to give up. Thank- you Lord for helping her to grow and mature into the mighty woman of God you want her to be. Amen.

Attitude is everything!

Attitude is everything!

Spiritual divas are not moved by the opinion of others… The only person you can control is yourself… A true spiritual diva does not allow her moods and emotions to be tossed to and fro just because of the presence and/or behavior of a man. She is rooted and grounded on a foundation that is infinitely deeper. She has a divine relationship with a Supernatural Man. Through her interaction with the Lover of her soul, she comes to know and understand that she is a well-kept, divinely loved woman who declares, “My beloved is mine and I am His”(Song of Songs 2:16)

The way you see yourself is the way others will see you but let us not forget how God sees you.

God says you are beautifully and wonderfully made. Remember you are made in his image and he makes no mistakes. Your eyes are brown because wanted them that color, your hair is curly because God wanted it like that, you are shorter than some people because God wanted you like that, You are here today because God wants you here. Your assignment is not complete or maybe you haven’t even started. Either way you have a purpose, a God given Purpose.

Renew your mind and how you see yourself today. As you discover who you are and whose you are some people will have to be let go. They may have been around for month’s maybe even years but their season in your life has ended. Be bold and let them know they were appreciated but you are going in a new direction. If you need help ask God to remove those who are not for you. Trust me it works.

Beautiful and Bold

"...Divinity and victory walk hand and hand. Second Peter 1:3 says God's divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

We are made in the image of God so let us walk with confidence. Our heads held high and knowing that victory is ours.

My reflection:
I refuse to buy a bigger size in clothes when I am not very happy with the size I am wearing. Though I am a confident full figured woman I want to drop a few sizes and let my hour glass figure show a little clearer. I have taken the easy road just adjusting my clothes size over the years but now I must stop and get myself on track. I am beautiful. I am bold. I am losing inches and pounds. I am Victorious!!!
**Remember to work on your goals next week I would like everyone to be ready to share 2-3 goals from any one of the areas.

DIVA

"...first definition for diva is divine, we can totally attribute this special quality to being a God thing. A deposit of the divine nature of God was placed into the spirit of every woman when He breathed the breath of life into her and she became a living soul. In that moment, she was set apart for a unique purpose with divine credentials for living out her calling. A big invisible stamp was placed on her that made everyone recognize she was special.
.... something happened ---the diva within was lost. The hand of God was crushed beneath disappointments, criticisms, negative experiences, bad choices, and unfruitful behavior she regrets. NOW is the time to shake the dust off and let that diva seed blossom and unfold!

**taken from The Diva Principle by Michelle Mckinney Hammond

We all can admit to good and not so good choices we have made in life but every choice came with a lesson and molded you in to the woman you are. We have been forgiven for our sins so let us get rid of the baggage of the past and press on to a strong promising future.
